I can ask the Iranian side of my family to explain exactly how full of shit you are. Wouldn’t be for constructive reasons; I doubt you can be taught anything. But it sure would be entertaining.

“I am bad at managing my finances, and eventually need to get bailed out by the government, or end up next to the homeless guy I used to make fun of”.

Yeah, so there are these kids toys at CES now that are always watching and always listening. Gyroscope if the toy is being picked up and moved, GPS to track where in the house it is, or where it’s going outside.
It’s loaded with voice and facial recognition that can track moods and environmental context. But obviously it doesn’t work offline. It has no on board AI, so all the data is sent to a service somewhere which will generate responses for the toy.
I wish it was just one such product being promoted at CES, but I’ve seen several videos now of multiple upstart toy tech brands selling similar AI plushies and such.

What’s worse than that are the fully camera, gyroscope, and GPS equipped children’s toys that send all their data to an AI server.

I think the bike exists to sell the battery. I’m getting a strong feeling there is no intention for the bike to be profitable, but rather as a proof that what they’re selling works by showcasing a real-world model that people can buy and drive.
With their plans to out-scale Tesla in battery manufacturing, it seems to me that they’re hoping to capture deals with EV manufacturers.

It’s all the same UX to me; I start up Stremio then check what torrent to stream from.

Most people don’t want to tinker. They just want a machine that works without hassle or need to think much about how everything works, or risk breaking something… But also without the bloat or the walled garden of Apple.

If someone has to try and break into Bazzite to do anything (if they’re not a developer) then they’re doing something very wrong.
What the hell were they even trying to do!?

The big deal is that development time is put into these… Uh… “features”.

Yes, and us unionists are fighting back. What, do you think we’re all just sitting on our arses with our heads up rectums?
If a fascist takes over the Danish government I’m going to riot, and I know which friends to call on to make it happen too.

Rather arrogant to believe the US falling means the decline of our entire civilisation.

Nah, checked Wikipedia. Germany is one of the countries that entirely blocks the site.
Luckily I live in Denmark, and Denmark doesn’t block the archive. So when I’m back home I’ll certainly be checking it out.
Heh, like wine tasting.

“address not found”

That’s OK. I’m using Linux. Perhaps this will drive more people to Linux. The less people using corporate owned tools the better.

I thought it was so comically stupid back then. But a friend of mine said this was just a bullshit way of hyping up AI.

Yeah, I’ve noticed an uptic of AI generated content being posted outside the AI circle jerk subreddits. Places like the AoE4 and Bionicle subreddits have had quite a number of AI posts already.
Theyve become too courageous, with others going out of the way to defend the use of generative AI with weak arguments like “but cars also steal jobs”.
The one subreddit that I’ve seen have a healthy response against AI generated content is the Bionicle subreddit. Doesn’t really surprise me as the Bionicle community is full of creatives.

And haven’t even achieved AI yet. What we call “AI” is still nothing more than an upjumped calculator.

Huh… That’s not a bad idea, actually.
And my dad just went to visit Iran for two months…
