Thanks a billion!
It’s beginner level, the hard part is the reverse proxy, once you have a grasp on that just having it on a dedicated box in a segmented portion on your firewall designated as the DMZ is easy. Id even go so far as to say its the bare minimum if you’re even considering exposing to the internet.
It doesn’t even need to be all that powerful since its just relaying packets as a middleman
Also run the reverse proxy on a dedicated box for it in the DMZ
It’s called DNS tunneling it’s typically used for data exfiltration tactics, but it’s also great if you’re desperate to punch through even the toughest paid WiFi paywalls to Google something really
quickslow because you fucked something up on your phone lmaohttps://dmachard.github.io/posts/0047-dns-tunneling-overview/
Can confirm, used DNS proxying to bypass cruise ship WiFi paywall once. It worked, but god damn did it send me into dialup flashback lmao

51·9 months agoOpenAI’s malfeasance with regard to energy usage, data theft,
I mean that’s why I call them silly folks, that’s all still attributable to that corporate greed we all hate, but I’ve also seen them shit on research work and papers just because “AI” Soo yea lol

133·9 months agoAside from the few people on Lemmy who are entirely anti-AI
Those are silly folks lmao
most people just don’t want AI jammed willy-nilly into places where it doesn’t belong to do things poorly that it’s not equipped to do.
Exactly, fuck corporate greed!
Well yea, but rolling it out slowly as people get “displaced” is how it would realistically get started IMO. It would be quite a taxing program for any country to just suddenly start
Are they really making the food worse, or are people just biased against it because a robot made it? Because humans are perfectly capable of making shit food themselves as well
In any case, in a world where 1st world countries actually took care of their citizens this would be a non-issue. Either there would be some sort of UBI program in place for workers that get replaced by robots or a worker re-training program or a combination of both (e.g. people still have an income during that training).

31·10 months agoI’ve always been of the opinion that if you post something publicly, expect it to be used publicly.
I will absolutely declare though that using privately posted stuff or piracy for profit is absolutely abhorrent. I’ve actually never been a fan of those IPTV providers that profited off of pirated streams either or similar schemes for the same reasons

Technology@lemmy.world•The first folding e-reader is smaller than a paperbackEnglish
201·10 months agoMe* listen, it’s just one of those things you have to try for yourself, when I got my first foldy phone I didn’t get it specifically for reading (I had other more important use cases in mind) but man when I used it for the first time to read a book it was AMAZING to be able to hold it like a book.
Idk maybe I’m weird, but it’s the little things like that lol
*But I want an eink version, but that might be a ways off :(

In fact, forget the app
