You should try out Emby. As someone who likes getting paid I think people who work hard should also get paid. So I paid for Emby :)

I tried Jellyfin and had some issues with it. I tried out Emby and everything was smooth sailing. Paid for premium and been using it ever since.

It’s a bit better supported on TVs than Jellyfin.

How do you find dockge over portainer? I tried it but it uses more resources and i couldn’t individually start/stop apps in a stack. It was all or nothing.

I found it too complicated compared to OMV. But it’s a good option.

Fedora for main machine. Bazzite for gaming machine.

Debian (OMV) for servers.

Any reason why you want to change from OMV. It’s not perfect but my go to media server.

Groupware?

I tried Nextcloud. I didn’t find it great for syncing files. I’m the only user of the server and keep getting merge conflicts.

Moved to OpenCloud which has been much more stable, if not as feature rich.

For me RTFM just means “show us you tried something yourself before reaching out for help”. In other words that you tried putting some work in and not just trying to get someone else to do your work or thinking for you.

I’m very happy to help someone willing to learn, but detest helping someone too lazy to do anything themselves.

Remote Desktop to my machine doesn’t work as nicely as windows. It doesn’t auto resize the session I connect to.

In my company they allow you to use duo key as alternate. I’m guessing your company doesn’t? Could be worth asking.
