Maybe spend some time investigating how to make nuget packages and then move onto deb or rpm. That way you’ll have a better idea of the problems that you’ll face in making your own. Personally whenever I feel the need for some kind of package manager, nuget is flexible enough that I can repurpose it to almost anything.

5·4 months agoYeah, that’s part of it. But there is something more fundamental, it’s not just rising up the ranks but also time spent in management. It feels like someone can get promoted to middle management and be good at the job initially, but then as the job is more about telling others what to do and filtering data up the corporate structure there’s a certain amount of brain rot that sets in.
I had just attributed it to age, but this could also be a factor. I’m not sure it’s enough to warrant studies, but it’s interesting to me that just the act of managing work done by others could contribute to mental decline.

Shudder. I had this weird brand laptop… Sotec IIRC and there just wasn’t a modline that ever got it all right.

They have a browser plug-in. I use it on Firefox on my desktop and on my Android phone. My uses it on Chrome on both as well.
I started using Kagi. Yeah, I have to pay for it. But we’re paying for Google too, kagi is just more honest about how.
To be fair a hotplate could play games better than a p4 and do it while staying cooler.
Isn’t it more like a network of several billion dumb computers?

Yeah, you could probably make a linux distro that uses nuget for packaging… Hadn’t really thought about it but it should be doable.
