Had been. But we’re in a post-accountability era for corporations so most likely nothing will happen.

That license was laughable and blatant
I just find it fucking hilarious that people expect software to be supported in excess of 10 years, paid or not, when that’s never really been the case over the past 40 years of software. Sure someone will probably come up with an edge case somewhere, but if you developed software, and continually released versions and updates, would you want to maintain a version you released that long ago?
Windows 10 will have been around for 10 years at that point. That’s a pretty good run. You know another OS that is stopping support after 10 years? Ubuntu 14 LTS, but no one complains about that. People freaked out when Windows 7 went EOL, and XP before that.
killing others indirectly
Huh. I wonder how you do that. If the wind knocked down a tree and the tree killed someone, would the wind indirectly have killed someone? That’s kind of like the old adage “speed doesn’t kill, it’s the sudden stop”
One of our spinoff companies wants to act so badly like a start up and be edgy they moved everything to a .io domain. This would be icing on the cake for how cowboy they manage everything.
Really? Where at? Every phone delivery I’ve gotten via UPS does a ding, dong, dash (and sometimes not even ringing the bell). No I don’t have a release signed.
I have to either redirect it to UPS store (hard to do since it’s overnighted and I don’t want to pay an additional fee), or make sure I’m monitoring my camera for motion alerts all day.
I would love to drop these guys into a post scarcity society where their money means jack shit and see how they react.
I completely forgot about that car…
The H1 was basically a civilian tank. The H3 on the other hand was a reskinned Chevy TrailBlazer and fell apart just as easily as one.
May be bad phrasing, but Firefox doesn’t support h.265 so there’s limitations with streaming video on some camera platforms and other sites.
Careful, there are some edgy people out there who don’t want to use more than one browser because Firefox doesn’t work with their cameras /s
Meanwhile, I’ll still be using Firefox too
Because Edge has also moved to Manifest V3 and Safari uses WebKit which doesn’t have the same degree of blocking. I mean, you do you, enjoy your ads.
Cool thing is you can run multiple browsers. So just use Chrome for your cameras and Firefox for everything else.
As long as it’s still in operation and people view it as a valid platform, its numerical value is irrelevant. I won’t be happy until it goes away or is relegated to the likes of Truth Social.
Considering how old Facebook is…. They probably never bothered to upgrade the authentication system because “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and it didn’t matter to their revenue.
So where are they all going? I doubt everyone is gonna find another non-profit or any altruistic motives, so <insert big company here> just snatches up more AI resources to try to grow their product.
Had a color wheel in a DLP TV explode on me. Fairly easy to replace but it was a pain to clean out all the glass.
This was most likely posted by a kid who just thinks Unix is “old” Linux and doesn’t understand the roots of what it actually means in terms of computing.
So why hasn’t anyone said much about Apple Intelligence? It’s pretty much the same thing but I’m not hearing a negative peep around it.
