The list view is a condensed view. Use the card view to see full-size images without having to use the image viewer.

Left-aligned titles, right aligned thumbs matches most mobile UIs, including boost, jerboa, etc. I also prefer it.

Was staunchly team vim for 15 years, but now I’m on helix. As another user stated below, its like if vim were re-designed today, and without needing any addons to be a code-aware editor.

Rust already has one of the best text editors: helix.

Depends on which ones, but most of them have been in lemmy for a long time already.

Same, I use endeavorOS. Its just arch with a nice installer.

Its just devs that aren’t watching the releases, and using custom javascript libraries rather than the ones we publish.

Breaking frequently is fine for libraries where all versions are available and usable.

It’s not good for API’s, where every single change isn’t backwards compatible and available. We have lemmy apps that still aren’t supporting API changes added over a year ago. We even had one such case last week.

It mainly has to do with trying to keep breaking changes releases as infrequent as possible. These make things difficult for app developers trying to keep up.

I haven’t tried fclones, but rmlint is extremely safe. It only creates a json file and a remove script file, that you can review and edit before running.
